A TGIF Story, Early in July, some years ago, we received a call from a school program director requesting that we overnight some star lapel pins to them. It was a Friday, and this particular school was having its usual awards ceremony.

Somehow, word got around the school that there were no star pins being given for perfect attendance.

Late that morning, we received a frantic call by the school director to get the star pins to him as soon as possible. We told him that we would make a special effort to get the pins to him that afternoon. We called the airlines and found one that could get the pins to him in a few hours. Then we drove 40 miles to the airport and got them on the flight. A few hours later, the program director called to confirm that we had put the pins on the airline and we confirmed the flight number and arrival time.

The program director later explained that he had locked himself in his office until the pins had arrived. Their award ceremony was a success, and we still have their active account for some 13 years now.

Having served the school industry for over 20 years, we understand the importance of providing immediate supply whenever possible. We also understand the importance of the pins.
